The 'Big Water Butt' with a small footprint
The world is getting smaller and flatter. TVs, mobile phones and desktop computers have all become more compact to fit in with our smaller world. But it doesn't stop at the latest technology.
Since it's initial
launch in at GLEE in September 2004, The
Recycle Works Ltd, a small company in the north of England dedicated to organic
recycling has been working hard to develop it's best seller, the Rainmate flat
pack water butt. With changes to the world's climate and ever increasing demand
on water resorces, water butts are now in big demand and there are lots of different
types to choose from, however the Rainmate is different.
Manufactured
by The Recycle Works, a small UK mail order company, it has been specially designed
to be stored, mailed and assembled with ease. This 'Big Butt' packs into a slim
box, which stacks easily on pallets and is ideal for mail order or easy for a
consumer to carry home, or fit into a car boot.
It has a tiny footprint
squeezing a massive 200 litre capacity into a 1350mm x 500mm butt including the
integral stand.
The Rainmate is made from sturdy plastic to the highest
specifications. It simply clips together - no tools required and has a number
of special features including a tap and childproof lid with leaf grill. The lid
allows it to trap falling rain water when free standing without the need for cutting
a hole. The rainmate can also be connected to a down pipe via a rain diverter.
The Rainmate can be used 'in line' with 2 or more tanks for maximum water
collection. All these features are standard.
Retailers
can benefit from fantastic profit margins and bulk discounts and The Recycle Works
will translate the instructions and packaging into any language.
There
really is fantastic and increasing demand for the Rainmate - 140 sold out in only
7 minutes on England's QVC shopping channel earlier this year and they plan to
sell them again in July.
